Today I saw a Jesus a walking

Went for some food left my place walking down the street,
Everyday items left my mind bloated with a non-sense buzz,
An old friend comes my way I smelt him first unhelpful labels come to the fore,
Drunk, homeless and desperate is he with tooth gapped grin,
I say that I will buy him a much needed meal and he comes along,
Another vulnerable I see and she turns to ask a kindness of us,
My friend quicker to help than I as I watch helplessly his goodness,
They cross the street arm in arm in a slow meaningful Jesus walk,
He goes one step further asking her where she is headed,
They cross another busy highway of busy people on everyday erranditry,My eyes dart to others worrying about what they are thinking,How shaded my eyes are by the world I walk in how shallow my thoughts
He my friend saw quicker than I the need he going further than I would of,Clogged the arteries of my heart not with fat but with fear and apathy,Jesus using “the least” to teach me deeper than any professor,
This day a picture a challenge a wake up call to my busy everyday heart.
